The Maharashtra Medical Research Society is a society which was a thought of seven eminent doctors of Joshi Hospital like Dr.S.S.Bapat, Dr.A.S.Phadke , Dr A.M.Deshpande , Dr Lala Telang, Dr Subhash Kale , Dr M B Gharpuray & Dr Vasant G Joshi.
The objective was to give a platform for compilation of clinical work and to do research from the same. It was difficult for a busy clinician to find time for the same unless an infrastructure of research was available.
They got an ethics committee together along with other paraphernalia for such a distinguished society.
Funds were collected and allocated for the same research activities.
